Services for Parolees
To simplify a smooth transition for individuals returning home from prison, Keeping Communities Safe work with Westchester Department of Corrections and Parole Officers in providing certain returning citizens who have special needs with resource referrals for housing and specialized services, medical services, and mental health treatment.
KCS help clients with housing, furniture, substance abuse prevention services, anger management, supplemental nutrition advocacy (SNAP) benefits application, advocacy with the Department of Social Services, domestic violence, mentoring, employment, career development, entrepreneurship, and a host of other services.
Opportunities for Community-Based Partnerships
KCS partners with other county-wide agencies, county governments, and community-based organizations to set up these referral sources for individuals returning home in need of these services.
